ADOBE @ VID CON 2019 – THE IMAGINATION MACHINE

Our team created an interactive booth experience designed to showcase Adobe Premiere Rush through play.

The experience was named the “Imagination Machine" and made to "transport guests inside their own creative minds." Inside, guests’ movements were tracked and transformed into animated dance GIFs alongside a digital alter ego. The experience blended physical design, motion capture, and storytelling to demonstrate how easily users can create and edit dynamic content with Adobe’s video tools.

I created the "Imagination Machine" concept, developed all of the personalities and names for the "creative alter egos" and even produced the sound design for the live experience.

INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE

Guests were assigned a "creative alter ego" based on how they answered the prompted question on the sign up screen.

Once a character had been chosen, guests could enter the experience and interact with their motion tracked avatar.

Outside the experience was a cast of "Imagination Technicians" that would help guests sign up and enter the Imagination Machine.

The mechanical exterior paired with the whimsical interior created the illusion of being transported into a place of pure creativity. As guests exited, they were given a chance to use Adobe's Creative Suite to see how they could bring their creativity to life.
